Static Electricity:Invisible Killer of Laptop

In the dry autumn, the air is dry. And the laptop has more potential threathens that you may not notice. The most dangerous one is the static electricity. The static electricity is inevitable. My friend used to suffer this, for his 210 AC Adapter had electricity leakage.

Generally speaking, electrostatics are invisible that you don't pay attention to its existence. But it does exist and threatens your laptop. Sometimes, it can break down in due course electronic components. Relatively dry climate, plus man-made synthetic or wool clothing texture, it is easy to make a lot of static through rubbing. And it's easy to accidentally hit laptops conductive parts, such as USB interface, the shell of laptop and etc. Here introduce you some measures to prevent this situation.

First, use the extended power supply.
The biggest problem is the electrical leakage. We know that laptops are produced current while in working condition. And these currents can not be released if there is no conductor. When this current met with the static electricity produced by the body, it will produce electrostatic discharge and result in blue screen, even death. In view of this situation, it is recommended to use an external power supply. And the laptop AC adapter should plug in the crocket at the plain ground so that the current can conduct to the ground.

Second, wash hands before using the laptop.

Water, to some extent, can take away the extra electricity carrying by outdoor exercise. There is more static electricity after outside exercises. As long as we touch the laptop, that will lead to electricity leakage. As we mentioned above, though the current is low, it does harm the laptop. or you can touch some metal to discharge the electricity of your body.

Third, varied anti-static products are available.

This is inevitable phenomenon. So manufactures make a lot of relative products to prevent or reduce static electricity, like the anti-static bracelet or anti-static stickers.
