Sprint Go All-in IPhone 5?

The reports from Wall Street Journal says Sprint has taken a huge risk by making the iPhone, ifare. Details of Sprint and Apple's peaceful relations are beginning to come out, and if it is true, the country's third mobile operator is locked in the state uncertain.

CEO Dan Hesse said Sprint reported that the Council Nab the iPhone, at least 30.5 million iPhones to be bought in the next four years. It is not a huge investment - WSJ pickets around $ 20 billion at the current rate - but it is compounded by the fact that Sprint has locked in the purchase contract, regardless of whether the iPhone actually sold. The government was said to have accepted Apple's terms.

It has a lot of units to move, for sure, but not entirely impossible. In particular, a subset of Sprint customers have been vocal Cupertino taste of the limelight for years, not to mention that Sprint's commitment to offer unlimited data make it an attractive alternative to existing iPhone users looking for more bang for their buck.

Samsung files counter claim in Australia against Apple

(Reuters) - Samsung Electronics Co has filed a counter claim in an Australian court, accusing Apple of infringing its wireless patents related to the U.S. firm's iPhone and iPad products.

The move comes after Samsung last month delayed the launch of its latest Galaxy tablet computer in Australia over a global patent dispute with Apple.

Samsung filed the claim with the Federal Court of Australia, New South Wales Registery, on September 16, a media statement released by Samsung Electronics Australia said.

The claim says Apple infringed seven Australian patents owned by Samsung related to wireless communications standards by Apple's iPhone 3G, iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4 and iPad 2 products.

It also says the patents that Apple relied on in its claims against Samsung in relation to the Galaxy Tab 10.1 were invalid and should be revoked by the court, according to the statement.

Samsung has previously counter sued Apple over patents in South Korea, Japan and Germany.
An Apple spokeswoman in Australia could not immediately be reached for comment.

An iPhone 5?

Rumours have been circulating for months about the impending release of Apple’s iPhone 5. Some thought it was to be announced shortly before Christmas 2010, others thought that Steve Jobs and the rest would hold off in order to milk sales of the iPhone 4, and instead announce the new handset in June at the Worldwide Developers Conference keynote as they have done in years previous. However the 10th June came and went without an announcement of the ever-anticipated iPhone 5. So where does that leave the legions of enthusiasts salivating for the newest Apple toy?

Recently an anonymous source from Apple leaked information that the iPhone 5 could be available before the summer is out. This same source has said that the mobile will include an 8 megapixel camera and an imbedded SIM Card, much to the dismay of phone retailers around the UK. According to the report, it will also include a slick ARM Cortex-A9 processor, quite a big upgrade from the current processing chip in the iPhone 4.
